Dennis Bovell Unveils Compilation of Rare 70s Material

Sufferer Sounds collects tracks by Bovell, as well as others he produced, from 1976 to 1980

A compilation of rare material by the pioneering reggae and dub producer Dennis Bovell is set for release next month.

Spanning 15 tracks, Sufferer Sounds focuses on a five-year period in Bovell’s discography, from 1976 to 1980. It features reggae, dub and lovers rock cuts on which Bovell was the lead artist, as well as other cuts that he produced and engineered, including a dub version of ‘Silly Games’, his 1979 hit single with Janet Kay.
