Next month, London’s Southbank Centre will host the second edition of its DEEP∞MINIMALISM series which, the venue says, is dedicated to "meditative listening and deep concentration".
Over the course of two days, the venue will host a UK exclusive live set from Liz Harris as Nivhek, a special performance from Eliane Radigue called ‘Trilogie de la Mort’ which will see her explore birth, death and life beyond death across three hours, outings of rarely-heard works by musique concrète pioneer Tod Dockstader and a performance from Laura Cannell amongst others.
"DEEP∞MINIMALISM 2.0 offers a completely different listening experience and one that I think is vital to explore, especially in a world where the noise of everyday life seems ever more insistent," says Gillian Moore, Director of Music at Southbank Centre. "DEEP∞MINIMALISM 2.0 provides a rare opportunity to take the time and space to listen deeply, to live purely in the musical moment and – in the same spirit as the composers and performers who are featured – to simply enjoy the unexpected places your mind may take you."
