A compilation of David Bowie rarities, live recordings and alternate versions of songs from his back catalogue, Moonage Daydream, is to be released next month to accompany a new documentary film of the same name.
A 43-track digital version of the album will be released first to coincide with the September 16 release of the Moonage Daydream film, which has the approval of Bowie’s estate and includes unseen footage from his personal archives. A CD release, with a more limited tracklist will follow on November 18 before a vinyl release sometime in 2023. You can listen to an updated version of Bowie’s track ‘Modern Love’, which will feature on the Moonage Daydream album, above, and find a full tracklist for the digital and CD versions of the compilation here.
A trailer for the Moonage Daydream film was revealed earlier this year to coincide with its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Parlophone will release Moonage Daydream on September 16, 2022.
