A number of demos by David Bowie dating back to 1969 are set to be released in a new 7" box set this spring.
The set features six tracks in total and all of them were recorded live to tape and created at Bowie’s London flat on Clareville Grove. The tracks feature Bowie performing alongside then collaborator John ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson.
"The photography featured on the box front and the print inside, is by Bowie’s then manager, Ken Pitt, and was taken in the Clareville Grove flat that David shared with [then girlfriend] Hermione [Farthingale]," says a press release.
The design of each centre label on the 7" records has been made to look like the demos Bowie would have sent to publishers and record companies during the 1960s. You can find more information and check a tracklist for the set here.
The new set accompanies the release also this spring of Spying Through a Keyhole, which takes in other demos and unreleased Bowie recordings.
