The Darkness Announce New Album

Justin Hawkins and co tuck into some Hot Cakes

The Darkness have announced the release of their third album, their first new material since their reformation and first album since One Way Ticket To Hell… And Back, way back in the heady days of 2005. Entitled Hot Cakes, it’s slated for release on 20th August via PIAS.

So far we’ve been given little in the way of information about what it’s likely to contain, but then it’s the Darkness, and let’s be honest, you probably have a fair idea of what to expect by now. Staying true to form, we’re promised "a musical explosion of multi-platinum rock riffs, pop hooks, and the best infectious choruses and balls out stadium anthems around."

Hot Cakes was produced by The Darkness’ Justin and Dan Hawkins, alongside collaborator Nick Brine, and was mixed by Bob Ezrin. More news when we have it…
