Longtime Quietus favourite and psychedelic voyager Daniel Patrick Quinn has announced plans to write a "hallucinatory transnational memoir", to be funded via Kickstarter. Writing on the page for the project, Quinn says "I will be spending the tropical winter writing a hilarious and occasionally profound semi-anthropological text encompassing my years on the outer fringes of fame in the British music world, my move to the intoxicating island of Java, my obsessive researching of obscure volcanoes and rarely-visited jungle-clad peaks in Borneo, the Spice Islands, Sumatra and so on, plus my time living in the Outer Hebrides drinking homemade wine and cultivating lesser-known edible plant species." You can back the project via the Kickstarter here. tQ can vouch for Quinn’s writing ability – his self-penned Baker’s Dozen from a few years back was a cracker. Quinn also has a new video for the track ‘I Followed My Imagination’ which you can watch above. Made by Matt Bowmer, it precedes a forthcoming documentary about Quinn.
