Daniel O’Sullivan Details New Album, ‘Rosarium’

The UK artist's third solo album was composed for Belgian classical music ensemble Echo Collective

Daniel O’Sullivan is releasing an orchestral album, Rosarium.

Out in July, the record is the product of five years of work which saw O’Sullivan compose a suite of chamber music for the Belgian classical music ensemble Echo Collective. It also features contributions from multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick, vocalist Astrud Steehouder and O’Sullivan’s daughter, Ivy, who recites poetry on the record.

To mark the album’s announcement, O’Sullivan has shared lead cut ‘Argentile’, which you can watch a video for above. In a statement, he said: "’Argentile’ is a composition for three voices, two violins, viola, cello, drum kit, bass guitar, bass clarinet, baritone sax and flute. It’s centred around an idea where melodic lines mirror themselves like petals or leaves."

House Of Mythology will release Rosarium on July 14, 2023.
