Damien Dubrovnik, the Copenhagen-based duo of Loke Rahbek and Christian Stadsgaard, have announced the release of a new 7" single via Luke ‘Helm’ Younger’s label Alter. The duo, who run the acclaimed label Posh Isolation, are closely involved in the city’s experimental and industrial scene that has also given rise to groups like Iceage and Vår – the latter of which features Rahbek as a member. The duo are renowned both for their provocative live shows and their music – coruscating, raw-edged synth-noise, which we described in last year’s Quietus interview with the duo as "minimal and as raw as a fresh stab wound".
This new Damien Dubrovnik 7" follows on from their great First Burning Attraction album, also released through Alter last year. It’s released in an edition of 400 with artwork by Danish artist Martin Erik Andersen, and features a pair of tracks, ‘Patterns Of Penetration’ and ‘Penis Corset’. You can listen to the latter via the embed below – it’s among the duo’s most powerfully rhythmic, teeth-grindingly abrasive tracks to date.
