Creator's Project unveil Giorgio Moroder film

Dance innovator Giorgio Moroder has spoken about working with Daft Punk, as the French electro-house duo prepare to release their new album, Random Access Memories, on May 21st.

The first in a series to look at the collaborators behind this long-awaited release, the eight-minute video for The Creators Project features Moroder recounting his early days with the Moog synthesiser and commercial success with Donna Summer in the 70s, before moving onto his current work. He fondly describes Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo as "perfectionists", and waxes lyrical on the impact of dance music: "It’s absolutely surreal. You see 5000 people, and they’re all dancing in unison…They’re all happy, and so I think that’s probably the legacy of dance."

Despite an already prolific career, the Italian record producer is excited for what the album can bring to the table: "They had to do something which is different. Still dance, still electronic, but give that human touch back."
