LISTEN: Da Lata – Ronco Da Cuica

New live recording from forthcoming three-track single

Following up on last year’s album Fabiola, Afro-Brazilian-influenced tropicalia collective Da Lata have announced a new digital and 12" single, out on June 30 via Agogo Records. Both feature a drum & bass rework of Fabiola‘s ‘Deixa’ from Brazilian duo Drumagick and a live cut of ‘Ronco Da Cuica’, originally by Joao Bosco (have a listen above and watch the video below), while the vinyl adds another Fabiola, a remix of ‘Unknown’ by the recently-reunited Eddy & Dus, featuring Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade.

The band will also be playing a run of shows in July (with a set at the FlipSide festival in Suffolk in October) after the single’s release – take a look at the dates below and head to Agogo’s website to pre-order:

JULY

Tue 1 – Rich Mix, London

Sun 13 – Topolski, London

Sat 19 – Brazilica Fest, Liverpool

Sun 20 – Rhythm Tree Festival, Isle Of Wight
