Cosey Fanni Tutti has shared a new track called ‘Orenda’.
It’s the second taste of her upcoming solo album Tutti, which will be released on February 8. You can listen to the track – in edited form from how it appears on the album – above. The video comes with accompanying visuals by Cosey herself.
In all, the album is comprised of eight soundscapes. "It’s the only album I’ve made that is an all encompassing statement expressing the totality of my being," she says. "A sense of the past in relation to the present and everything in between."
The eight pieces on the album were originally made as the soundtrack to the autobiographical film Harmonic Coumaction, and were performed live in February of last year, as part of a series of events that accompanied the COUM Transmissions retrospective which opened Hull UK City of Culture 2017, and which tQ were involved in. She’s since gone on to rework much of that material for this album.
Tutti is Cosey’s first solo album release since 1982’s Time To Tell, which was recently given its first vinyl pressing. The new album can be pre-ordered here.
