PREVIEW: Convergence

Ben Frost, 65daysofstatic and more featured as part of April event

The first details of Convergence, a festival taking in music, art and technology at various London venues from April 22-27, have been announced. There’ll be a rare set from Iceland-based composer Ben Frost, making a long-awaited return to London on April 26 at Village Underground, premiering music from his new album, having made his directorial debut with an opera based on Iain Banks’ novel The Wasp Factory last year. Elsewhere, following the 10th anniversary re-release of 65daysofstatic’s debut album The Fall Of Math (out on Monotreme Records on March 24) and its accompanying tour, the Sheffield band will be performing the soundtrack to cult sci-fi film Silent Running.
