WRWTFWW Announces Colored Music Reissue

We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records will reissue a cult 1981 album from Japanese group Colored Music

Colored Music’s self-titled 1981 album will be reissued by We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records this September.

The album, which was originally released on Japanese label Better Days, has grown to achieve cult status in recent years selling for large amounts on Discogs. It follows a number of recent reissues of in-demand older Japanese records from the label in recent years including Midori Takada’s Through The Looking Glass and Yasuaki Shimizu’s Kakashi – both were reissued by the imprint alongside New York’s Palto Flats label.

Tracks from the album appeared last year on a remix 7" from Japanese DJ and record collector Chee Shimizu who has been enlisted to pen the sleeve notes by WRWTFWW for this reissue. He has written notes in English and Japanese for the reissue, which will be available in CD and vinyl editions.

The reissue of Colored Music is out on September 21. You can get taste of the full album via the embed above.
