Coil’s 2000 drone-based record Queens Of The Circulating Library is getting a first-time reissue courtesy of Dais Records.
Out in January, the record will be made available across digital, CD and vinyl formats, marking the first time that it has been officially released digitally and on vinyl. The reissue is available for pre-order via Dais Records’ Bandcamp page, and you can listen to a one-minute clip of the 50-minute record above.
Released originally as a CD-only album in April 2000, Queens Of The Circulating Library was produced by Coil’s Thighpaulsandra and John Balance, with the group’s Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson having no involvement. It also includes vocals from the former’s mother, Dorothy Lewis, who was a trained opera singer and in her eighties at the time of recording.
Dais Records will release Queens Of The Circulating Library on January 13, 2023.
