Circuit Des Yeux Reveals New Track And Video, ‘Vanishing’

"'Vanishing' is an account of climate change and loss through the final stage of grief," says Haley Fohr of her new single

Circuit Des Yeux has unveiled a new track, ‘Vanishing’.

It’s the third cut to emerge from Haley Fohr’s forthcoming album, -io, following on from the release of ‘Dogma’ and ‘Sculpting The Exodus’ in recent weeks. ‘Vanishing’ comes with a self-directed video, which you can watch above.

Speaking about the track and video, Fohr says: "’Vanishing’ is an account of climate change and loss through the final stage of grief. In this video I embody our evolving consciousness toward Earth and its health by representing four characters.

"Lemonade Lady is the evasive optimist who is unwilling to acknowledge her changing surroundings. Prepared Weather Person is the anxious prepper; ready for the worst and isolated by fear. The Mortal Sufferer gets blown away in a field and serves as evidence that us corporeal beings are at the behest of our environment. And Worm Girl personifies the stoic reality that all things human undoubtedly decompose in time."

Fohr has also shared details of a UK and European tour through April 2022, which will take in a special show at London’s Barbican on April 6, for which Fohr and her band will be joined by a string quintet from the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Matador will release -io on October 22, 2021.
