Having signed to Drag City for the release of her fifth album, Haley Fohr, better known as Circuit Des Yeux, has now shared a track from the record called ‘Black Fly’.
The track features on the new album, entitled Reaching for Indigo, which is due to be released on October 20. ‘Black Fly’ pairs Fohr’s vocals with a string guitar and a supporting cast of Chicago-based collaborators who contribute on synths, strings, bass, mandolin and drums.
Reaching for Indigo is billed as a mostly DIY affair, influenced by astrology, and "genuflecting with Saggitarian energy". It’s Fohr’s first album since 2015’s In Plain Speech, and ‘Black Fly’ follows the sharing of lead track ‘Paper Bag’ early last month. You can pre-order the album here.
