LISTEN: Chrononautz – Noments

Get yer Pennine pounders here!

There’s just a week to go until Friday July 17th and the release of Noments, the 12"/album/call it what you will by splendid Leeds duo Chrononautz. We’re made up by the response this record has been getting, with Ali ‘Perc’ Wells and Dan Avery both supporters, Truss writing "ACE" ninety-nine times, Steve Davis from the snooker dancing around the studio of Brentford Community Radio when we played it to him, and Regis saying "it’s fucked, sounds like LFO / KLF / RSPCA, brutal !!!". The good people of Fact Magazine, meanwhile, said "Opening with ominous waves that wash over you like the tides of a litter-strewn beach, closing with drenched and distorted pulses, Noments is a baptism in dancefloor techno’s scuzzy and unhinged underbelly." Now you can make your own minds up by listening to Noments via the video above, which features nifty visuals by Rendered Eyes. Noments can be pre-orderd via Boomkat, Juno, Norman, Drift. Chrononautz will be playing Cafe Oto with Hirvikolari and Sly & The Family Drone on Monday August 3rd, info here.
