Chris Carter shares a video for 'Moon Two' from his upcoming album out later this month

In a couple of weeks, Chris Carter will release his new album, Chris Carter’s Chemistry Lessons Volume One, his first solo album in 17 years. Now, ahead of its release, he’s shared a video for album track ‘Moon Two’, which you can watch above.

The video sets Carter’s curious synths against wispy, hazy visuals, and is the third visual for the album to be shared ahead of its release later this month.

"If there’s an influence on the album, it’s definitely ’60s radiophonic," Carter says. "And over the last few years I’ve also been listening to old English folk music, almost like a guilty pleasure, and so some of the tracks on the album hark back to an almost ingrained DNA we have for those kinds of melodies."

The album is made up of 25 tracks and was recorded in Carter’s own Norfolk studio. All of the artwork and accompanying videos were self-created.

Carter will perform a rare modular set on Monday (March 19) at the Faber Social Art Sex Music event, which also features Cosey Fanni Tutti in conversation with Laura Snapes, a reading from our own Luke Turner’s forthcoming book and a talk from Lilith Whittles. You can find out more information on that here.

Chris Carter’s Chemistry Lessons Volume One is out on March 30 and can be pre-ordered here.
