Chickfactor To Host 20th Anniversary Shows

Fanzine to run three days of events in London in November

Legendary fanzine Chickfactor will be hosting a bunch of shows in London to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Editors Gail O’Hara and Pam Berry et al. touch down in London in November for a weekend of musical and artistic capers (with an all-dayer, starting at 2pm, on Sunday), including a live performance from ‘we are not an indie band’ Glaswegians The Pastels and John Peel’s favourite ‘lady singer-songwriter in the country’, Bridget St John.

UPDATE: Extra acts added to the Sunday all-dayer. Additionally, the magazine will be releasing their new issue, a special 20th anniversary edition, soon – take a look at the cover after the dates:

NOVEMBER

Fri 16 – The Horseshoe, London – Take Three Girls: The Dolly Mixture Story, a film by Paul Kelly and pop quiz hosted by WFMU’s Gaylord Fields

Sat 17 – Bush Hall, London – The Pastels, The Aislers Set, Amor De Dias, Would Be Goods

Sun 18 – The Lexington, London – Bridget St John, Tender Trap, Pipas, The Real Tuesday Weld, Jim Ruiz Set, Harvey Williams and Josh Gennet, The Starfolk, Gaylord Fields’ Fake Beatles Talk, Chickfactor & Hangover Lounge DJs
