Last week, Cat’s Eyes – Rachel Zeffira and The Horrors’ Faris Badwan – put out their soundtrack to Peter Strickland’s latest film, The Duke Of Burgundy. Now, with a live performance of the score at Brighton Festival on May 22 on the horizon, they’ve unveiled the video, directed and filmed by Zeffira, for ‘Requiem For The Duke of Burgundy’, a lovely late-album piece, which gets matched to images of church sculptures and endoscopy footage, a powerfully unexpected and uncannily mesmeric pairing. They’ve kindly given us a first look – play it above. Once you have, read Zeffira and Badwan talking us through their top 13 film soundtracks here, while The Duke Of Burgundy OST is out now on Raf Records/Caroline Records.
