Castrovalva, the bonkers Leeds-based noise-rock merchants (and handsome buggers to boot – see above) who evidently spend a lot of time thinking about the words ‘hardcore’, ‘intense’ and ‘frenetic’, have a new album on the way – You’re Not in Hell, You’re in Purgatory My Friend is out digitally on October 7 and on CD/LP on October 8 via Brew, and we’ve got a full stream:
The band have stuck fast with their rabid, multi-part cuts, producing something brilliantly manic, which trades in the hip hop-influenced sounds of 2010’s We Are A Unit in favour of warped basslines.
