Carter Tutti Void’s Transverse collaboration seems to be acquiring quite a life of its own, with rave reviews anywhere from NME to Wire, Stool Pigeon and Vice… and imminently, on the Quietus too.
This is surely because the album, made at the Mute Short Circuit Festival last May, succeeds in capturing the spirit on which the four tracks were made: unforced creativity and a genuine sense of engagement between Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Nik Colk Void, and their desire to then pass on this warmth to their audience.
As we wrote in our live review at the time "there is no nihilism in this noise, nothing but a deep and wonderful sense of love."
We’re therefore pleased to be able to spread the love a little more with this stream of the album from Mute. You can Pre-order Transverse here and get yourselves an exclusive track.
Below the album stream you can find a gallery of the equipment used in the preparation sessions for the Short Circuit event, and then also on the night itself. All photographs thanks to Chris Carter and Nik Colk Void.
