Carla Bozulich, songwriter and founding member of The Geraldine Fibbers, has shared a new track from her upcoming album called ‘Let It Roll’. You can hear the track above.
‘Let It Roll’ is the opening song on her new album, titled Quieter, which is set for release next month. The album is made up of a collection of previously unreleased collaborative tracks curated by Carla and selected from her recent archives.
Bozulich describes ‘Let It Roll’ as "the most honest work I’ve ever done" in the album’s liner notes with the track dating back to her recording sessions for her last album, 2014’s Boy. "I think we wrote it while cat sitting for Father Murphy in Treviso, Italy," says Bozulich of the track. "I don’t remember being sad at the time. This is surely a song far beyond sadness. We bundle together and stay…"
The track features Bozulich taking up vocal and bass duties while frequent collaborators Andrea Belfi and Jhno handle drums and everything else on the track respectively.
Quieter is set for release on May 11 via Constellation Records.
