Call Super is releasing a one-off mix CD for Dekmantel’s in-house label.

Marking the first mix compilation release via the Dutch label, A Rhythm Protects One spans 12 unreleased tracks and seeks to revive the golden era of the mix CD format. It features new cuts by Call Super and their Ondo Fudd alias, as well as several unknown producers who may or may not be other monikers of the UK artist.

“There is a line in the Malgo & KVS track that goes, ‘I must be the place where the storm catches breath,'” Call Super, real name Joseph Richmond Seaton, said in a statement. “The line captures that feeling of the best of times in a club, where everything slips away in terms of time and you feel like you’ve reached a place beyond the outside world, a place of your own that is somehow communal with those around you. The mix was meant to be an honest reflection of those moments for me as a DJ. The zones that somehow encapsulate the physical and mental harmony you feel in that place. This is a mix for that zone.”

Ahead of the full mix’s release, you can listen to one of Seaton’s new productions for it, a Call Super track titled ‘Mothertime’, below. Advance CD copies of the mix will be available for sale at this year’s Dekmantel festival, which takes place from July 30 to August 3.

Dekmantel will release A Rhythm Protects One on August 11, 2025.
