Arizonan Americana crew Calexico are headed to Europe for a mammoth tour schedule this summer, and are releasing a new EP to mark the occasion.
It’s centred around ‘Maybe On Monday’, a cut from last year’s Algiers, that’s been re-recorded for the EP, which also features a demo version of the track alongside covers of The Replacements, Elvis Costello and The Call. We’ve got a full stream of the EP, which you can listen to below, as well as a video of the band performing the track live at the foot of the piece:
The Maybe On Monday EP will be available digitally from City Slang through all the usual suspects, while a physical release will only be on sale at the band’s gigs: their European stint begins at Glastonbury on Saturday 29 June, and they’ll be back in the UK for Latitude on July 19; head to the band’s website for full details.
