You Can Now Buy A Burial-Themed Skateboard

Hyperdub has teamed up with skateboarder Yaje Popson for the item

Hyperdub and Burial have teamed up with US pro skateboarder Yaje Popson and US skateboard brand Alien Workshops for a new Burial-themed skateboard deck.

The idea for the deck came about from a letter that Popson, a big fan of Burial, sent to Hyperdub about his appreciation of the enigmatic producer’s 2007 LP, Untrue. He designed the deck alongside Alien Workshops around that album’s cover art. It’s Popson’s first such project.

"The album’s city soundscape resonates," Popson says, explaining that "as a skater, [he is] constantly engulfed in the streets of the metropolis, looking for skate spots among the rat race of Gotham."

The deck is on sale now at a price of £55 via Hyperdub’s website.
