Our favourite Poruguese based Angolan soundsystem Buraka Som Sistema won Best Band 2008 at MTV Portugal’s awards recently.
The Quietus was listening to their excellent new album Black Diamond (which is out on November 10) to get us in the mood for The Bug at The Amersham Arms on Saturday night after two large espressos, two litres of coke and three fat lines of Coleman’s mustard powder. The effect was rather like having a very enjoyable embolism. So keep on checking the site for our review.
