Bruce Springsteen has shared a never-heard-before song called ‘Blind Spot’.

Recorded in the 90s, the track will feature on his upcoming Tracks II: The Lost Albums box set, which takes in material from seven previously unreleased full-length albums. Within the set, ‘Blind Spot’ appears as part of Streets Of Philadelphia Sessions, a 10-song collection which sees Springsteen explore an interest in the rhythms of mid-90s contemporary music, particularly West Coast hip hop. It had been due for release after being completed in 1995, but was ultimately put aside after the artist decided to reunite with The E Street Band for the first time in seven years.

‘Blind Spot’, which you can listen to below, explores doubt and betrayal in relationships. In a statement expanding on this, Springsteen said: “That was just the theme that I locked in on at that moment. I don’t really know why. [Wife] Patti [Scialfa] and I, we were having a great time in California. But sometimes if you lock into one song you like, then you follow that thread. I had ‘Blind Spot,’ and I followed that thread through the rest of the record.”

Sony Music will release Tracks II: The Lost Albums on June 27, 2025.
