The Quietus At London Brooklyn Bowl

tQ editor John Doran joining forces with Turbonegro's Tony Sylvester to soundtrack Brooklyn venue's UK launch this weekend

Williamsburg bowling alley and music venue Brooklyn Bowl has crossed the pond to set up shop in The O2 in London. This weekend, they’re marking the opening with a two-night launch extravaganza on Friday 17 and Saturday 18, unveiling 12 bowling lanes, food served up by Bromberg Bros. Blue Ribbon Restaurants and music from the Brooklyn Bowl All-Star Players, a funk and soul collective comprising members of Brooklyn crews Antibalas, Lettuce and Soulive. Not only that, but there’ll be DJing from the exceedingly fine tag team of tQ’s John Doran and Tony Sylvester, lead singer of Turbonegro, spinning prime Northern Soul and stone to the bone funk.
