BSP/ John Doran Collab For Sea Change

Neil and Abi from British Sea Power are collaborating with John Doran at Sea Change Festival on Saturday August 27 at 2.30pm.

The British Sea Power musicians recorded the ‘Area Forecast’ track with the tQ Editor last year and the trio are now performing live as part of the bill at the Birdwood House stage, 44 High Street.

John will be reading about Devonshire ghosts on buses, Dungeness, the great heatwave of 1976 and the impossibility of thinking.

Giving a fruity and arboreal reading from his work in progress on Epping Forest, Luke Turner will be appearing on the same stage at 5.30pm on the Friday night.

Also appearing as part of the festival’s spoken word line is hero tQ writer and friend of the site Jude Rogers (Saturday, 5pm), not to mention Laura Snapes and Sylvia Patterson (Friday 4.30pm).

And just after the opening ceremony on Friday, John Robb and John Doran will be talking on stage at the Civic Hall on the High Street at 1.30pm.
