Brakes Sign To Fat Cat, New Album In Spring

Power pop maestros announce third album for new label

Excellent pop miniaturists Brakes have signed a deal with Fat Cat which will bear fruit with the release of third album Touchdown on April 20.

The album will be their first since The Beatific Visions appeared on Rough Trade to widespread acclaim in 2006, and will be preceded by two singles, ‘Hey Hey’ and ‘Don’t Take Me To Space (Man)’.

Touchdown promises to be a more textured and emotionally involved affair than previous forays, and impatient fans can download a track off the album, ‘Crystal Tunings’, for a limited amount of time from here.

A brace of UK dates have also been announced with the promise of plenty more on the way.

Tour dates:

January

28 London Proud Galleries

February

5 Sheffield Fuzz Club
