Bono “Bored” Of Bono

Moment of catastrophic self-realisation?

U2 mainman Bono has revealed that he’s stopped writing in the first person for the band’s forthcoming new album No Line On The Horizon. Speaking to U2 propaganda sheet Q magazine, Bono said, "I’m bored of Bono and I am him – I’m sick of me. I felt it was a little limiting to be in the first person." Instead, the songs on No Line On The Horizon are all based around characters, including a Middle East war correspondent.

In other Bono news, the Irish star has been given permission to extend his mansion and, according to the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald surprised the proprieter of the Silverfjord Hotel in Kingussie by turning up for a drink in a bright red kilt.

Meanwhile, speaking about No Line On The Horizon Bono has praised The Edge’s fretmanship, saying, "there’s some very hardcore guitar coming out of The Edge. Real molten metal."
