As we previously reported, the rebooted Blur are set to play a massive gig in Hyde Park on 12th August to accompany the Olympics, alongside other such UK institutions as New Order and The Specials. That show is long sold out, but good news for any fans of Albarn and co who didn’t manage to get tickets – they’ve just announced a series of other gigs around the UK in early August to warm up for the big one. They include two performances in Wolverhampton, one in Plymouth and one in Margate. Tickets are £35 a pop, plus booking fee, and will be on sale from here at 9:00am this Friday 18th May. A pre-sale will be happening from Wednesday 16th May for fans registered via Blur’s website. The dates run as follows:
AUGUST
1st – Margate, Winter Gardens
5th/6th – Wolverhampton, Civic Hall
7th – Plymouth, Pavilions
