Blanck Mass To Release Soundtrack For New Film ‘Ted K’

It follows his debut film score for 2020's 'Calm With Horses'

Blanck Mass, AKA Benjamin John Power, is set to release his second film score next month.

Following on from his work on 2020 film Calm With Horses, Power has provided the soundtrack to the upcoming Tony-Stone directed movie Ted K. The film follows the story of Ted Kaczynski, otherwise known as the Unabomber, who killed three people and injured 23 others in a nationwide bombing campaign against people he believed to be advancing the destruction of the environment between 1978 and 1995.

After being personally selected by Stone to provide the film’s score, Power worked on the soundtrack during lockdown from his studio in Edinburgh. He’s said to have drawn on the work of Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone "for inspiration in encapsulating the energy of the perceived good vs. evil" of Kaczynski, adding that he "wanted it to feel like an epic." You can listen to the soundtrack’s lead cut, ‘Montana (Main Theme)’, above.

Sacred Bones will release Ted K OST on March 18, 2022.
