Black Sabbath Reform!

Original line-up back together

At the Home Of Metal launch a couple of months back, Tony Iommi told the Quietus that we’d have to wait and see whether the original line-up would get back together. Today, in an interview with the Birmingham Mail, Iommi confirmed that he, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are reunited, working on new material, and planning a tour: "We’re really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we’ve been writing is really good," he said, adding that the new material is "more back to the old original stuff."

Iommi said the reunion had been kept top secret, with Ozzy potentially the man with the loosest tongue: "It’s all been very hush-hush. Ozzy’s been the worst at trying to hold it back. He’s doing a lot of TV and he’s being asked stuff about a reunion and he’s going ‘well I never say never’. He told me, ‘I don’t know what to say’." Pot! Kettle! Black!
