Happy Halloween! Let Philly Kev Morpurgo of Black Impulse, 11 Paranoias, Tomaga and John Doran provide your Saturday Halloween soundtrack.
Black Impulse is an NTS radio show which is broadcast live from 10pm – Midnight every other Saturday. This week, because Kev and Heather are away spinning records at some ghoulish bash, here’s one they prepared earlier.
As they tell us: "Black Impulse’s shows are a distortion heavy stroll though punk, experimental, metal, noise, gutter garage, trash blues, prog, hardcore, hip-hop, free jazz and anything that is generally left field, underground and unusual… in other words, a good trip!"
This two hour show was originally broadcast on Sunday September 20 live from Incubate festival in Tilburg, when tQ editor John Doran popped in to play some records and chat about his personal highlights of the week.
They were joined by 11 PARANOIAS for a chat before a very special live in-the-studio set by the amazing TOMAGA who were joined on musical saw by Cathy Lucas of the equally stunning ORLANDO. Both bands played stellar sets later that evening.
