Björk’s ‘Cornucopia’ Concert Film Set for Limited Cinema Release

It will be screened in almost 30 different countries between May 7 and 11

Björk’s concert film Cornucopia is getting a limited cinema release.

From May 7, the film will be screened in 25 different countries, including the UK, the US, Brazil, Australia and Germany. It will then premiere in Spain, Canada and France on May 8, 9 and 11, respectively. Set to feature in 500 cinemas worldwide in total, the film screening will be accompanied by three additional Björk music videos, produced by the Icelandic artist herself.

The 100-minute film captures Björk’s lengthy Cornucopia tour run, which began in May 2019 and ultimately ended in December 2023 after 45 shows, having been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour focused heavily on music from her 2017 album, Utopia, and later its 2022 follow-up, Fossora, and also folded in elements of theatre directed by Lucretia Martel. Björk was joined by a harpist, choir, group of flautists and percussionist Manu Delgado, among others, for the run of shows.

At the start of this year, Björk shared an hour-long excerpt from the Cornucopia film via an Apple Music livestream, and also released a photobook based around the tour and film in November of last year.
