Björk will DJ an exclusive four-hour set on opening night (Wednesday 14 June) of Sónar Barcelona 2017. The set requires a separate ticket from the rest of the music programme.
Sónar+D, the festival’s conference arm, announced the virtual reality ‘Björk Digital’ exhibition will complete the festival.
The touring exhibition will run from 15 June through 24 September at Barcelona’s Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB).
As part of the Sónar+D congress, Björk will present a talk on the uses of audiovisual advances in the arts, as seen in ‘Björk Digital’.
Björk’s set adds Wednesday 14 June to Sónar’s schedule. The music programme has also been extended to Sunday 18 June for a closing night concert featuring Nico Muhly and Stargaze.
