Over the last few years, Bjarki has kept up an impressive work rate via a string of releases on Nina Kraviz’ трип label as well as his own bbbbbb imprint.
Now he’s branching out beyond those labels for his fourth album which follows on from a trio of LPs released with трип in 2016. Entitled Happy Earthday, it will see release next month via !K7 and ahead of its release, you can listen to ‘Ana5’, from it, above.
Bjarki views Happy Earthday as his "proper debut album", having pulled it together from a more conceptual framework. "You can consider this album as a window into my head and even my soul," he says. "It reflects my thoughts at the time I made this music. For me it is a bit odd, sharing it like this with the world. As a very private person I am not used to opening my door so completely, it can be a little scary for me."
Happy Earthday is out on February 15.
