Birds Of Paradise, the dual Utrecht and Antwerp festival, has shared the full lineup for its 2023 event, which takes place this weekend.
This year’s event marks the festival’s second edition, with four days of action set to take place at Utrecht’s TivoliVredenburg venue from Thursday through to Sunday (March 16 to 19), and two days of programming scheduled to go ahead at Antwerp art house DeSingel across Friday and Saturday (March 17 and 18).
The festival will feature unique and one-off performances, with Jlin set to perform alongside Chicago-based ensemble Third Coast Percussion and Dutch string collective Ragazze Quartet, and The National’s Bryce Dessner scheduled to oversee an orchestral performance with musician ensemble Casco Phil. There will also be solo sets from KMRU, Son Lux and performance artist and clarinetist Holland Andrews.
Alongside the festival performances, artists on the lineup have been invited to curate their own digtial Artist Room, which they will fill with material related to their Birds Of Paradise performance and overall artistic vision. You can access those ahead of the festival’s start by heading here.
