Billy Bragg, Billy Childish and Kele Okereke are just a handful of the artists who have swapped lyrics for literature and contributed short stories to a new anthology inspired by punk music.
A number of musicians have sharpened their quills and racked their brains to contribute to Punk Fiction: An Anthology of Short Stories Inspired by Punk. Each writer was asked to choose one punk song that inspired them and use it as the catalyst for a piece of creative writing.
Other temporary bards include Maximo Park front man Paul Smith, Long Blondes singer Kate Jackson and Dev Hynes, the brains between Lightspeed Champion.
Punk Fiction is available now for £9.99, with £1 of each copy sold to be donated to The Teenage Cancer Trust.
