Bikini Kill To Reunite For US Live Shows

Bikini Kill are to play their first full shows together in over 20 years this year

Bikini Kill have announced a trio of live shows set for later this year, which will mark their first full live appearances together since 1997.

The shows will see Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail and Kathi Wilcox from the original line-up playing live alongside guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle. Hanna and Wilcox have previously played live and on record together since the end of Bikini Kill after forming The Julie Ruin in 2010.

Hanna, Vail and Wilcox previously reunited on stage to play one song together in November 2017. That performance as part of The Raincoats’ appearance at New York’s The Kitchen saw them play the track ‘For Tommy Rae’.

They’ve only confirmed three US shows so far, taking place at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium (April 25), Brooklyn Steel in New York (May 31) and New York’s Terminal 5 (June 1). It’s not yet known whether there’ll be further shows beyond these dates.
