Big Joanie have released a one-off single, called ‘Happier Still’.
The track, which you can watch a video for above, is said to be inspired by Nirvana. Its release comes ahead of the London punk trio’s live appearances this month at Glastonbury and Grace Jones’ Meltdown festival in London.
Speaking about the track in a statement, Big Joanie’s Stephanie Phillips said: "I started writing ‘Happier Still’ after our first album came out in late 2018 and finished writing it while we were in Austin for SXSW 2019. This song is about wanting to break out of a depression and pushing yourself to feel better. I like the idea of chanting ‘I’ll feel fine’ and then hoping that will eventually turn things around."
‘Happier Still’ is out now on Daydream Library Series / Kill Rock Stars.
