Atlanta rapper Big Boi is set to release his second solo album Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors on December 17 via Mercury.
It follows his debut outing outside of Outkast (currently on indefinite hiatus), the indisputably ace Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty, and features collaborations with a few usual suspects – T.I., Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky – as well as appearances from Little Dragon, Waaves and Jai Paul.
From what Big Boi’s said, and the relative brevity of the follow-up time to Sir Lucious Left Foot, we should expect big things. He recently told Pitchfork: "Sonically, it’s the strongest. I got a chance to do everything I wanted to do. There were no hiccups; I made a call, things happened. When the label believes in the project, it makes the recording process smooth."
There’s been a steady stream of preview material over the last few months (yesterday Miss Info premiered ‘She Hates Me’) – here’s the Ludacris/T.I. collab ‘In The A’:
The deluxe edition of the album will also feature two singles released earlier this year – have a listen to ‘She Said Okay’ featuring Theophilus London and TRE LUCE –
and ‘Gossip’ featuring UGK and Big K.R.I.T:
