Berlin Atonal has shared the first wave of acts playing its 2025 edition this August.
More than 100 acts in total will play across the five-day event, with more acts set to be announced over the coming months. Among today’s announcement are live sets from Moin, Djrum, Niecy Blues, Purelink and GRIEND, a collaborative project of Puce Mary and Rainy Miller. DJ Marcelle is also listed to play a DJ set.
As ever, this year’s Berlin Atonal will also take in a number of special world premiere performances. Among those are live sets from Carmen Villain; Emptyset, presenting their latest album, Dissever; Amnesia Scanner & Freeka Tet, debuting a show called S.L.O.T.H.; Bendik Giske & Sam Barker; Merzbow, Iggor Cavalera & Eraldo Bernocchi; and Lechuga Zafiro & Verraco, combining as Hyperverbena.
The event will once again return to its usual home of the Kraftwerk building, and in addition to its main stage, the festival is introducing a new area this year, called Third Surface. It features partial table seating and takes inspiration from “the informal spaces and counter-institutions of nightlife before the rise of dance music”, according to a press release.
Berlin Atonal will take place from August 27 to 31, 2025. Find more information here.
