Next week, Arizonan label Lost Tribe Sound are releasing Hymnal Remixes, a double-disc album fully reworking Thomas Meluch’s fourth Benoît Pioulard record, released last year on Kranky. It’s a 19-track affair, bringing up a first disc of more rhythmic cuts, including some fine versions from LTS roster artists, including William Ryan Fritch, Cock & Swan and Part Timer, and a second of frequently beatless tracks drawing on Pioulard’s strong ambient strain, with Kranky label mate Loscil and Meluch himself on there, alongside some excellent deconstructions from The Remote Viewer and Segue.
