RVNG Intl. Celebrates 15 Years With Beatrice Dillon Mix

Beatrice Dillon helps RVNG Intl. celebrate 15 years as a label with a two-sided mix

2018 marks 15 years since the very first release from New York-based label RVNG Intl., which was a mixtape from Julian S. Process who later went on to be a part of Pink Skull.

Since then, the label has given us some very fine releases from the likes of Suzanne Ciani & Kailtyn Aurelia Smith, Holly Herndon, Julia Holter, Blondes, Sun Araw, The Body and a whole host more. It’s also spawned a number of sub-labels including FRKWYS and Freedom To Spend who earlier this year released our favourite reissue of the year in Ursula K. Le Guin & Todd Barton’s Music and Poetry of the Kesh.

To celebrate 15 years since the label’s launch, they’ve invited Beatrice Dillon to put together a two-sided mix of music both released and unreleased from the label. Here, you can hear the first of those mixes, while the second is scheduled to arrive later this week on December 14.

The mix, Dillon says, includes "loads of cut ups, blends, edits, layered loops, audio manipulation, collaging, etc." as well as moments "where the tracks just run cos they sounded great to my ears."

The cassette, featuring both sides of the mix, is available from December 14 here. It will be available in an edition of 250 copies and is the only way you can hear both sides of the mix.
