Beatrice Dillon To Release Debut Album

The album features contributions from Laurel Halo, Batu, Lucy Railton and more

Beatrice Dillon will release her debut album via PAN early next year.

Titled Workaround, the 14-track LP was recorded between studios in London, Berlin and New York, and sees Dillon working mostly within a 150 BPM framework. It draws on the kind of syncopated UK club music that forms a central focus of Dillon’s DJ sets, folding in various rhythms and forms of percussion. Above, you can hear lead track ‘Workaround Two’.

The album features a number of guests who’ve contributed various elements to different tracks. Amongst them are Laurel Halo, Timedance label boss Batu, cellist Lucy Railton, Hemlock label founder Untold, Pharoah Sanders Band’s Jonny Lam, tabla player Kuljit Bhamra and Senegalese Griot musician Kadialy Kouyat.

PAN will release Workaround on February 7, 2020.
