Beak> have announced a new album, titled >>>. Above, you can stream the lead track ‘Brean Down’.
‘Brean Down’ is the sound of a more lyrically-minded Beak> and marks the first taste of the album which is the band’s third.
">>> definitely sounds like a step forward," says Redg Weeks, manager of Invada Records who will release the album alongside Temporary Residence. "The production and feel of the first two albums was like listening through frosted glass; a band playing behind a curtain. Now we are hearing Beak> in sharp focus, but without forfeiting what the band see as its ‘wrongness’."
The album is set for release on September 21 and the band will preview the record with a selection of UK tour dates in September following on from an appearance at August’s Green Man festival. You can find their list of upcoming live shows here.
