Baths Reveals First Studio Album Since 2017, ‘Gut’

Will Wiesenfeld has also shared a video for the record's lead track, 'Sea Of Men'

Baths has shared details of his first studio album since 2017, titled Gut.

Spanning 11 tracks, work on the follow-up to Romaplasm began before the COVID-19 pandemic and was ultimately completed in early 2022. “Gut is essentially me trying to make my feelings make sense by not initially psychoanalysing them, [and] instead just having feelings said and put on the table,” the artist, real name Will Wiesenfeld, said in a statement.

Since the release of his last album in 2017, Wiesenfeld has put out the 2020 Baths compilation Pop Music / False B-Sides II, and produced a number of soundtrack albums. He’s also shared several records under his Geotic alias.

To mark the announcement of Gut, Wiesenfeld has shared a video for the album’s lead track, ‘Sea Of Men’, which you can watch below.

Basement’s Basement will release Gut on February 21, 2025.
